Some of the benefits are:
Structured Commodities Trade Finance (SCTF)
The SCTF team specialises in creating and delivering state-of-the art structured finance solutions for clients in Commodities, with their businesses in both Emerging and in OECD markets.
Across these regions, the team delivers solutions for commodities, which are typically exchange-traded across the energy, metals and softs complexes. Additionally, SCTF covers commodity complexes, which are “mainstream non-exchange traded”, such as ferrous metals (also across all steel products), ores and tobacco.
Products and their structures
At the core of the solutions provided by SCTF are products, which rely on self-liquidating [offshore] cashflows, generated from the trading of commodities to support the finance structure and to mitigate associated credit and transfer risks.
Structural components include, amongst others, assignment or true sale of underlying export and/or delivery contract and receivables, as well as pledged collection and/or escrow accounts and may include the use of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV).
